On Tuesday, May 11th eighteen NSW Humboldtianer and partners met for dinner at Essen restaurant in Ultimo. Plans for the upcoming Sydney meeting of the AAvHF in 2011 were discussed and a local committee of interested members was formed to organize this event. The idea of an AAvHF mentoring scheme for early career researchers as suggested at the 2010 AGM in Dunedin greeted with enthusiasm by members and initial discussions began regarding a possible NSW event as part of the new National Humboldt Lecture series.
