The 2022 biennial conference of the Australian and New Zealand Associations of von Humboldt Fellows will be hosted by Deakin University, in Geelong and will take place on 18-20 November 2022. Please mark the dates!
As you are aware, the Biennial Conference of our Associations is a broad academic conference aiming to bring the sciences and humanities into conversation. Another aim is to showcase research and funding opportunities in Germany.
The theme of this year’s conference will be “Striving for Global Sustainability in a Post-COVID-19 World”. The 2022 conference committee will be chaired by ProfessorJean du Plessis of Deakin University.
At this point, we are calling for expressions of interest (EoIs) in attending the 2022 conference, in order to prepare a Kolleg grant application to the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung in Bonn. Such an application requires the committee to provide a list of potential attendees in the categories of Alexander von Humboldt or Lynen Fellows, Early Career Researchers (i.e., PhD graduates who are six-years post-graduation or PhD students nearing completion) and “other researchers”. In addition, a successful Humboldt Kolleg application would also support up to four German researchers to attend so your suggestions for such German scholars would be most welcome.
